Above and Beyond Linen Service for Canton Restaurant

Lucia’s Steakhouse has been a Stark County favorite for over 75 years. Even after a two-year hiatus and a move from their original Canton location to Belden Village, the restaurant still attracts visitors from all over Northeast Ohio.

Current co-owner Rob Johns partnered with original owner Faith Anne Flickinger to bring Lucia’s back to Stark County, and they chose Rentwear as their linen, towel, apron and floor mat service provider.

A History of Great Service and Patronage

Rentwear began servicing Lucia’s when their longtime service representative Pete Zovath was a bartender there in the early days.

When Johns and Flickinger decided they were going to reopen Lucia’s, they had a lot of decisions to make – but choosing a linen and uniform provider wasn’t one of them.

“Faith Anne told me about the history between Rentwear and Lucia’s, so I knew we should call them first.” Johns said. “And all these years later, I know we made the right choice.”

“Rentwear’s ownership team often comes into our restaurant for dinner. You just don’t get that with national companies,” he went on to say.

“From the tablecloths to the aprons, everything looks good. When our staff and our tables look good, our customers keep coming back.”

Service and Product Quality that Can’t Be Matched

Today, the Lucia’s team is thrilled with the products and service they receive from Rentwear.

“Sometimes you go to restaurants and you can tell their tablecloths and napkins have seen better days,” Johns explained. “That’s not the case with ours. Rentwear makes sure all of our table cloths are the same color and the napkins are crisp.”

He explained that the product quality helps Lucia’s maintain their upscale atmosphere that patrons have come to expect when they stop in for a Boston strip steak or hot peppers.

“From the tablecloths to the aprons, everything looks good,” Johns said. “When our staff and our tables look good, our customers keep coming back.”

He also mentioned that the service quality and attention that Lucia’s receives from Rentwear is second to none.

“When you can call up one of the owners on Friday night for something you need Saturday morning and you know it will be handled, that service simply cannot be matched,” Johns said.

Rentwear’s staff stays consistent and their years of experience help restaurants like Lucia’s immensely with their day-to-day operations.

“Their team knows just what to recommend,” Johns said. “When they tell us about a new product that we might like, they’re always right on the money. And their driver knows what to do every time he comes. Their service makes our lives easier, and that’s what really matters.”
