Rentwear's Stomp Out Breast Cancer Campaign Raises $8,000

Money to be Split Between the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation and Christine Boron

North Canton, Ohio, November 7, 2018—Rentwear’s stomp out breast cancer campaign raised $8,000 — $5,000 of which was donated to the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation and $3,000 was donated to local breast cancer patient Christine Boron.

The funds were raised through the sale and rental of stomp out breast cancer floor mats, the sale of pink Rentwear golf shirts and donations from area businesses like Impulse Training in North Canton.

“Honestly, when we kicked this off, we expected to raise around $2,000,” said Chris Clay, Vice President at Rentwear. “Getting to $8,000 is a true testament to how committed northeast Ohio businesses are to doing good in our community.”

The campaign also featured a social media scavenger hunt where community members and businesses were encouraged to post pictures of stomp out breast cancer mats to raise more funds for the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation. The promotion resulted in mat photos being shared 80 times on Facebook and Instagram.

“Not only did this campaign allow us to do a lot of good financially, it was enjoyable,” said Connor Clay, Director of Marketing at Rentwear. “From the social media scavenger hunt to just seeing all of the mats out at local businesses, I couldn’t be happier with how well this campaign turned out.”

The Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation plans to use to the funds to continue giving financial grants to Ohio breast cancer patients.

“We are so thankful for Rentwear’s stomp out breast cancer campaign,” said Mary Beddell, President of the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation. “It was great to see a local business partner with a local nonprofit to do so much good in northeast Ohio.”
